    Default Wiring ISC Valve

    Hey all,

    Ok just for a quick background I a wiring a Wolf3d V4 into my Cressida running a 7MGTE..

What I need to know is can the Wolf run the ISC with its PWM output or to put it another way the 4-wire ISC valve the 7M uses is it a PWM operated valve or is it a stepper motor (which the wolf cannot control)? Below is a link to the wiring diagram, you can see the ISCV located 1/3 the way down the page in the middle..

    Thanks for any help,

    Marc

7mgte is a stepper type ISCV.

    PWM won't work directly.

As a suggestion it might be easiest to get a PWM type valve off an XF falcoon or similar (I think that is the one?!) and adapt that in

Thanks for the reply, I figured it was a stepper motor from the diagram..

Does anyone know what the 2jz uses? As I am planning on fitting a 2j plenum very shortly so might just put up with no ISC valve until then..

Pretty much all Toyota 6 and up cylinder motors use stepper type.
    Most 4 cyls use PWM

    I am using a 4AGE 20V ISCV.
