AE86 Radiator Upgrade 4AGZE powered

Hey Guys,

I've done a bit of a search and didnt come up with much so i thought i'd ask the question.

So whats a good radiator that will keep my 4AGZE sprinter nice and cool?

i'm running the standard radiator at the moment and it seems to be working ok but its only a matter of time (and change of climate) until it overheats.

Keep in mind the car is primarily used for track/drift days

I dont mind making custom brackets etc, just want something that has a greater cooler capacity and has both inlet and outlet on the drivers side.

I had a triple core custom copper radiator priced at $350, i reckon i'd be able to get something just as good off a wreck for much less.

An automatic Excel radiator is a good upgrade and basically bolts in.

you talked to Ben about this Craig? as a drift mostly, it opens up a lot of options, i'll have a look at some catalogues if i get the chance (finding rads with both outlets on the RHS isnt that easy)

350 sounds pretty cheap to me, a standard radiator is about 250!

You could even add an oil cooler. It helps my ke30 keep the temps down.

Im using a wreckers spec AE71 radiator with a 14" thermo.

i'm already using an oil cooler, i dont think the temp would stay down without it

Rex achieved twin coredness with His standard radiator. Rex's factory radiator has metal tanks so the rad-gaff basically matched a 30mm core to size and fitted it to the tanks.

Cost Him $250, bolts straight in with all factory mounts and pipework.
