Rt142 speedo problems

Hey Hey,

I have a rt142 auto and the speedo needle moves around more than it should.
Say im doing 100kph the needle will bounce between 90 and 110.
Some days it does it and some days its perfect but mostly all over the shop.

So whats going on ?

Chances are its some crap built up inside the cable. If you take the gearbox end of the cable out and pull gently with a pair of pliers, you should be able to pull the inner cable out of the sleeve and clean it up with a rag and some metho. Get rid of the chunky bits and you should be sweet. DISCLAIMER- I had most of the dash apart already when I did mine, so if you can't get the cable out (or back in!) you might have to get in there with the screwdrivers...
