got one you can borrow if needed.
Well i found a descent size crack in my ST205's rocker cover today and seems its spitting out a reasonable amount of oil from it also.
Can anyone confirm if all generation rocker covers are the same or interchangeable? Or even if the 3sge rocker covers are interchangeable also?
got one you can borrow if needed.

I may weld it up but its in a bit of a tricky spot near one of the bolt holes so not sure how effective that will be. Was a little dark when i noticed it so will know more tomorrow.
Thanks for the offer Linden, but minus rods and timimg belt and tensioners i have everything else for my rebuild so hopefully with the next 2-3 weeks that will get started.
They will all fit...kinda. They all bolt to the head but some of the ancillery bits are different so depending how modded the setup is they might not suit real well.

thanks for the info Justen
Gasket goo if it's only a small one near the bolts, otherwise take it off and get it welded

Yeah this is obviously the solution

hahaha how did I know someone would bring that image up? I only meant a SMALL amount of goo around the crack and bolt itself, and the goo only on the underside of the cam cover.. not everywhere![]()

Punctuation is the difference between 'I helped my Uncle Jack off his horse' and 'I helped my uncle jack off his horse.'
Regardless of whether it leaks oil still or not - the correct answer is - "no, it's not fixed". You'll also note the oil seperator port on the rear of the rocker cover you'll need to consider if using a different gen cover too Gary.
As for my sexy red rocker cover, yes it was purchased like that, and no, it's nothing a soda blast and new seal can't FIX!
