I'm fairly sure one of them is for boost cut/guage, and one is for the ECU.
Short answer is yes, you need them both.

One will do the ECU (does boost cut as well).
The other one be for the gauge in the dash (If you don't have this then you don't need that sensor).

one map is for ECU (which in turn has boostcut)
the other is jsut to control the boost guage on the dash thats all.
I was saying what Xistant said.Originally Posted by Mitchee
The MAP sensor that controls boost cut is the ECU one. NOT the dash one.
Yes there is a sensor for the dash, however it doesn't have anything to do with boost cut as the gothic Draven suggested

supplying a bit more info.
the one on the firewall, above the motor, is the MAP sensor, i think the labels Green.
the one on the passenger side sus tower, label (mine is) is Yellow, is the guage sensor.
Elmo.
yeah mines the same. . . . one yellow and one green. . .
but i still have the other problem -
still blowin fuckin clouds of black smoke out the back. . . bit of a worry
all the lines to the MAP sensors seem ok. . . .must be the o2 that i cant get to coz i rounded a stupid bolt and cant get the factory plumb back valve off so i cant angle grind the bastard
