TA22 window regs

How do you tell if you have a right or left reg?
I have several sets here and cant tell them apart.
The rail that hold the glass does not want to sit flat, I have tried a few regs now.
What am I doing wrong?

Post some pics up. You can normally tell them apart by the bolts holes.

OK got the left and right regs sorted, they are identical apart from the toothed arc. The longer side with the hole in it faces the top of the door. I thought something was wrong because the rail the glass bolts to was not level, but this is normal.

one more quick question, is the small slide meant to be straight (see pic), just want to double check before putting it in the vice.
