My 1g perfomance not 100%

HI all

Went on the celica cruz on sunday and i found that my car seems to pull heps harder when i back the peddel back to about 3/4 reguadless of load or gear. The turbos sound like they spool up heaps harder. The 1G is full stock with a stock W58 my intercooler is quite small about about the same area as what was in the GA70 half cut but with about 550mm less plumbing.
Can you help ?

hmmm, think it needs a single turbo uprgrade nah take your pipe off where the throttle is and open the throttle manually check it if its operating properly? it might be opening too much and spinning over the other way if that makes sense? or if your throttle cable is sticking somewhere, or not working properly? I had a similar problem not too long ago, turned out to be the throttle cable.

I noticed a similar thing with my recently built 1G corona. Im using a commodore airbox and I opened up the intake hole which was smallish. I havent noticed the the problem to be there anymore.

So whats normal?
with the pedel hard down the body opens as far as it can.As if there was no cable and you did it by hand.
Jordan you have see my car the wisper quiet 23.
SO what you are saying is pull off the pipe befour the body and adjust the cable position.

Would it be the TPS or throttle possition sensor needs to be setup correctly as it could be out of alignment sending the wrong signal to the ecu.

It's also common to see Toyota's with stock management go way rich in the last few percent of throttle opening.

joshtix is right. . . in the last section of throttle the ECU way over fuels - tested on the dyno when i got my soarer tuned.

funnily enough though i noticed it still did it (to a somewhat less noticeable degree) after i had my SAFC tuned. . . .
