Hi All,
The SDMA Hillclimb is on again this Sunday. Any of the Toymods crowd going? I'll be there again in the White AE82 Twin Cam testing out my new front sway bar.
Spectators are most welcome - costs nothing but your time.
Cheers,
Todd

Last time I was out there it went pretty much all day.
I might call past and check things out.

Sorry - should have stuck those details in.
Scrutineering starts at 7:30, competition starts around 9:30 and generally goes to around 3 or 4.
Further details are at: http://www.sdmahillclimb.com/
If you drop by come and say hello.
Cheers,
Todd
While I think of it Ben - I'd really appreciate catching up with you on the day as I'd like to see how much room I have in an AW11 with a proper race seat installed. Still rather keen to upgrade from the Corolla to an MR2.
Cheers,
Todd
I would come down and run the new MR2 but I've got CAMS Officials training up at Eastern Creek....to be truthful next time I come down I'll probably be officiating so I can get upgraded to "Bronze" Status....

Either way it'd be good to catch up seeing as how I haven't been able to make it up to Huntley - be good to see the new MR2 as well.
And we can always use officials - your blood is worth bottling!

I'd forgotten about that - Won't be driving the mr2 unfortunately.Originally Posted by Toddski

No worries - don't think I'll be allowed to buy an MR2 in the near future anyway.
How did you go? Was it a full grid?

Done good - I beat my previous best (56.33) for the Corolla. Dropped down to a 56.01 - if it wasn't for a little messing about in One Tree I would have finally broken into the 55s.
Was a good day - don't think it was a full grid. Not sure of numbers, somewhere between 40 and 50. Few new cars out, mates KE30 with 4AGE did very well (best time of 56.20 - and Steve has only raced once before and this was the first time out in this car) and a very impressive looking single seater with a massive supercharger on a scooby engine (didn't run in anger as only managed a few sort out laps - but could be very interesting).
I was having a whale of a time - the new front sway bar means everything is starting to work suspension wise as it should. I now have oversteer - in spades. Car is pretty predictable now, and most people who've seen it run before commented that it was sitting much flatter. Limitation now is grip (and lack of power). But I'm having too much fun.
I have photos, but I'm beat so I'll put them up when I get a chance.
Cheers,
Todd
