Well im not ready to part with $2,000 so realistically $1,000-$1,500 alone for the MicroTech or whatever as fitting is not an issue for me.

Microtech will work with all your stock sensors, just not the idle control motor.

$1200 for an LT10S and $50 for Holden airtemp sensor and Ford idle controller.

$300-$400 for tuning providing you can find a local tuner happy to tune Microtech

Correct me if im wrong but isnt the MicroTech LT-10 used for 4 cylinders only? So out of MicroTech, HalTech and MoTech who is the best in regards to Bang for Buck? Cheers

LT10S has 4 injector drivers and 4 ignition drivers.

Unless you want 6 coils, you'll only need 3 injector drivers, and 3 ignition drivers (not 100% sure on ignition, you may only need one).

As far as bang for buck, on a basic motor like the 7MGTE, Microtech will come in cheaper, and do everything you need it to.
Haltech will have the benefit of closed loop cruise AFR adjustment, but not a huge amount else.
MoTeC will be the dux nuts, but will leave a very large hole in your wallet.

there is also Autronic, sitting right in the middle between Motec and Haltech..... but above teh $2k budget.

For your budget - get the LT10S. You dont need the extra ignition and injector drivers really (it is a 7mbhg after all!), so it will do the job you want perfectly.

A Microtech LT10s will do the job fine, and also has more inputs/outputs as opposed to the LT12s.. Just means you have to run the negine in batch fire with waste spark. But this is how some Toyota are run now... You can also ditch the air flow meter and get rid of one more restristion..

Just a thing to remember... Don't get a Microtech if there is no one in your area that likes or can tune then.. This could also cost you more if this is the case..
