Last time I checked it wasn't a race Just yourself and the clock if you're interested.

Fix it otherwise it could ruin a day of fun for you.

As there appears to be a few people heading up for the day from Canberra we might as well kick off the social side of the day by having anyone who is keen to drive up together meet at the Shell Gateway Service station (located at the EPIC entrance).

In order to be at Wakefield Park by 8:30am at the latest we will need to meet at Shell at 7:30am and leave by 7:40am. Anyone who wants to just meet at the track we will see you there.

This seemed to work well last time.

Just come and watch, there'll be spare seats in nearly everyones cars for the drive up. Then ther will be stopwatches, cameras and video camera to keep you busy once we get there

    Guys...

    ENGINE IS IN!!!! W000000T

Picked up some light weight 16' Lenso C5's (i know.. .not the prettiest, but they'll do the job) with 195/50 tread.

still gotta cut the tranny tunnel, modify tailshaft, fit rear brakes/suspension and wire in the new engine..

It's my 21st on Monday and I'm sacrificing all plans so I can work on the car, so should be all good for Wakefield on Friday.

First time ever on the track.

Your optimism is inspiring - we hope to see you at the Shell Gateway servo on Friday morning If not, then at the track.

Not sure if I'll be there anymore Car needs brake pads badly and probably new rotors as well, which is kinda a problem considering that the brake upgrade is so close. cant justify spending hundreds on parts which will be replaced within a month or so....

Besides, I have a track day at Eastern Creek middle of next month with some of the guys from work

I'd love a day at EC but a 600km round trip + track km's makes me a little scared.

I can see your point though Matt, I'd not be keen to waste cashola on parts that I'm not keeping.

I may still come down to spectate and bludge some rides, but the car has a few little issues that need addressing before I'd be comfortable giving it hell on the track. I've recently discovered the oil pressure light doesnt work and the sender's buggered, so I have no ability to monitor oil conditions and it doesnt have an oil cooler either. Then there's the open centre diff (not so much of an issue but still an irritation....)
