Default 1JZ filling 2 cylinders with fuel

from another forum, guy hasnt got membership here yet

Hey guys I have a 1jz in a cressida witch is running really rich in cylinder 5 and sometimes 3, its not coils its not plugs and its not injector cause iv swapped everything around and its still filling the same cylinders up.

I can have empty cylinders with no coils on so it doesn’t start and I can turn it over and after a few seconds the motor will lock up, take the plugs out and cylinder 5 is full and sometimes 3

Iv looked at the ecu pin outs and just so happens that number 5 and 3 injector are on the same pin??

    Please help!

Rip the cover off the ECU, i'd almost put money on the capacitors leaking.

Also check the the wire between the computer and 3/5 injectors has not worn through somewhere and is earthing out, as this will open the injectors whenever the ignition is on.

see if you can find one second hand as when i got the said ecu repaired they charged $500 for it. it was 2 caps and a resistor. work that out

ps it was the same cylinders too. so swap the plugs to other cylinders to check.

Do you happen to know or can find out what resistor was changed? I have two broken ECU's here and have replaced the caps, possibly if I changed the resistor in it, I might get one of them working as a spare.
