Default parts chosen for GTE conversion - feedback

Working on the conversion for the 4AGTE (turbo conv)

so far parts as followed but im not sure on the quality of the products.. any opinions on these would be great

Pistons - Arias Forged - i heard these are crap by some people... that they will melt or somthn... what other brands available.. i want something good.

rods - Crower Steel Billet Connecting Rods - good for hi RPM and NOS apps
    C-to-C: 4.803"
    B.E. Bore: 1.772"
    B.E. Thick: 0.859"
    P.E. Bore: 0.787" (20.0mm)
    P.E. Thick: 0.860"

no need to upgrade crank as they are strong as in these motors..

    injectors - SR20DET GTIR's
ECU - AEM Wolf 3D Version 4 PLUS with hand controller

turbo options - Garret t3 highflow, T28 or the turbo from the evo 3 lancer (td05) i THINK... I am aiming for around 300hp+ and i dont really want to much lag.. power after 3500 would be fine for me up past 7g is possible

Cams & Springs - HKS 264 deg cams and TODA Racing Uprated Valve Springs
Pump - Walbro pump, not sure on regulator yet (any recomendations?)
    Toda Metal Head Gasket also.

sound good? im going to keep the 16V GZE head atm but would it be worthwhile changing to a bigport head.. you have to weld up channels or somthn to stop air leaks correct? have read about the bigports have better airflow.

Sounds like a pretty tough build to me. The ARIAS pistons can support 300+ HP (I've seen it done), and most likely more. I think that HKS do a piston kit for the GZE too. For a cheaper alternative, stock GZE pistons from toyota are about $600, are quite strong indeed. It's worth getting the pistons you choose ceramic coated if you've got the money, along with your turbo and manifold.

if you are going to the effort of aftermarket forged pistons and rods (for only 7000rpm??) then why not get a real turbo i mean a new GT one instead of old turbine design?

think about a couple of things.
    what rpm.
    what boost.

design EVERYTHING around your rpm range, and get parts strong enough to withstand the boost (at that rpm) and it will be fine

Then i would recommend paying an experienced professional with a good reputation to design and build your engine properly.
