yeah Id be keen to take the rolla for a thrash around collie.I might get a car trailer cuz there is no way im drivin that buzz box all the way there![]()
It was talked about before in the drift thread, this is to see who is interested in getting down to collie for a track day. Now it would be run by AFARCC, but all the guys there are good to deal with, it would take the pressure off OST from organising everything.
It would mean that each person would have to pay for a day CAMS licence or 1 year licence and AFARCC membership, think it's $50 from memory......but this means its run be people who know what they are doing

if there is any interest, please raise your hand so we can get an idea on numbers..... more details to followHey guys..... who here would be up for a Collie track day (or weekend, depending on numbers and pricing)
We're looking at running one with AFARCC shortly, and I beleive OST have been talking about one.... What I reckon would work, would be to run a day primarily for the 3 clubs... We should be able to get some pretty decent numbers between the lot of us...
Not sure when it would be, or what it would cost... but basically costs would be as follows...
a) entry fee - basically what it costs us to hire the track, split up among the entrants
b) cams license - you'll need either a cams day license, or a yearly license - costs are on the cams website, but from memory it's about 30 bucks for a day or 90 for a year...
c) club membership fees - your cams license isnt valid unless you're a member of a cams affiliated car club.. that includes AFARCC and the WASCC, and a few others in WA
those are the fairly fixed costs for the day, on top of that, you have your fuel costs, any wear and tear on your car (depening on your pads and tyres, you may need to replace them either before or after the day (or both))
EDIT: The track day has now changed to the 18th November, See page 3 for details

AFARCC financial year membership is $40 from july of this year to end of june the following year. once we get something organised (hopefuly within this year) we will have an official thread on the AFARCC forums.
we cap our track days at a reasonable amount to ensure everyone gets as much track time as we would like ourselves. if we get more enough people spill over due to interest we usually do our best to book another track day and give them preferece for attendance.
AFARCC run the days as grip and some sliding
depending on what classification we run the day under CAMS licence may not be necessary .
20 - 30 cars would be sweet as, possibly over 2 days like sat + sun
Cost would be mega tho hey ...![]()
yeh, what adz said.....Originally Posted by coFF33
the cost wouldnt be too much, prolly around the 150 mark....all up....
it would be mostly a track day with .....the possibility of drift sessions if people want to

quite interested.. got new tyres that are sticky as rubber, and i'll be getting new shock absorbers pretty soon... at this stage 40% i'd run, the 60% is about money, membership and getting the license.. car's 100% able to but i don't have an extinguisher for it and it's not fitted with a roll-cage or anything, and yea i'm in just to see how well the rolla will go..
otherwise, i'm 100% definitely going..
Ross - i don't mind driving the buzz-box for you if u wanna save on a tow cost? u can drive my car there then, it's not as loud![]()

I'd be interested on the drift side of things, but do we need to join the club because I don't really wanna be a member of 4 car clubs...
1JZ MZ20 Soarer - 4AGZE KE70 Corolla - 4AGE AE86 - 4AGE KE70
nope , non member prices are usually ever so slightly higher though
So, anyone entering the day under the OST banner will be paying a higher fee than an AFARCC member - if so, I'm out.
