i havent done so as yet but plan to in the very near future with my engine rebuild and twin plate clutch setup.
I believe you will probably find that the gain wont be anything substantial but it will help the engine rev a little more freely
Has anyone put a lightened flywheel on a 3sgte with minimal mods?? what sort of performance increase did you get and how was driveability and idle??

PitStop is currently doing something like this, but he is also doing a million other improvements, so you wouldnt be able to get a comparison. As gee120 has stated though, the gains are revability, not so much power. The loss though is torque (coasting up hills is harder)

i just recently upgraded my clutch and flywheel.
It seems to pick up and accelerate a little harder, but nothing startling at all, but then i didn't expect a big difference with the fat pig GT4!
The difference in idle/driveability is about nil, but mine is harder to get going, but that could be because of going to a button clutch from standard![]()
also it free revs a lot easier, making heel toeing a bit easier
Was it worth what it cost me?? Well i was replacing the clutch anyways, and got it all at a (very) good price, but for the $400 the flywheel retails at i wouldn't do it!
Cheers
