    2 I dont think 1G's have a PCV?

3 One thing I have just thought of though is that im using 1GGE cam covers. The cam covers didnt have any breather so I got a fitting welded to the same side cover as the standard 1GGTE cover had it on. However I didnt put a baffle inside like the stock cover has. Could this be an issue?
1 japs do the windback trick the same as a dodgy car salesman and take into account that most jap motors would get roughly 35km/h of engine use compared to aussie engines 70km/h of use

2 should have a pcv but a siple oneway brake valve should do the trick

    3 this is the prob.

    cheers

i just have the 1ggte open pipe from the cam cover going into a small catch tank and it has never filled up yet, its been near on 10 monthes of dayly driving

it still has a stock smaller one from the cover going into the manifold under the t/b, doesnt seem to have a pcv in it though

ide guess your engine is on its way out

Are you using the standard 1GGTE cam covers?

The only diff in setup between myne and yours is that im using 1GGE cam covers due to the water to air intercooler sitting on top of the engine. I had a good look at the baffle inside the cover and the oitlet of the breather isnt really getting any baffling. Im hoping when I move the breather hole to a more baffled area it will solve my excessive oil venting. I have been compairing my 1GGE covers with a set of 1J covers to figure out a good locating for the breather to be placed.

I have managed to sort out my catch can issue. I pulled my engine apart and removed the inlet cam cover to see what was going on. I found that the breather outlet was getting minimal baffleing, So I got the breather moved to a more baffled area. I compared my rocker cover to a 1J cover to get the right position. So now I am no longer filling up my catch can!

I also did a compression test while the engine was apart. I found the highest result to be 185psi and lowest to be 175psi. I guess my engine is healthy after all
