but the car has been sittin for 9 months b4 i bought it
and i kno it did run b4 i because i drove it a few months back and they said one of the ppl tried 2 jump start it 1 day n blew sumthin thats y it aint sparking.. so does any1 kno wat he could have blown!!

check and or replace every fuse / relay - kick panels and engine bay items.

Before you go replacing parts left, right and centre, work out what is actually not working properly. Get a wiring diagram and check you have power on the right wires to the ECU. Then check whether you have power to the right wires on the ignitor. Then check the wiring between dizy and ignitor. Then check wiring ignitor to coil. Then check your coil. Then check your dizzy terminals.

Spend your $100 on a multimeter and a slab or two and work through it all. There is no easy solution, just work through it and the problem will turn up.

gotta love idiots with jumpers and cars with ecu's.
Im seconding hen, just needs some time and love. their are a few fuses inline with the 1g loom so make sure you dont miss those, good luck. look at it as a learning experience
and enjoy the beer when it fires the first time. (just glad its not me)

There may well be engine fuses in the loom. That would prevent it from sparking, I've had that very problem before. The spark prevention was actually coming from fuses that are inline (near the battery connections but lower) and NOT in the fuse box....

you NEED to use a multimeter to find out what is getting power or not!

Hah.. You know as well as I that the standard 1g-gte dizzy/coil/ignitor setup SUCKS arse and that a certain replacement dizzy certainly makes things easier..

back on topic: doing electrical work without a test light and multimeter is a waste of time. Stop now before you zorch something important and got to supacrap and buy both.

Chuckster: The dizzy replacement for a shit 1g-gte is something of a chrysler modified replacement.
Works well.
