The main error is that you didn't grind off the NISSAN on the calipers before you painted them... (I know that grinding calipers is generally "Bad m'kay", but in this case, they are able to be ground off safely...)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^i agree with takai on this one
DS2500's are one of the best street pads money can buy (and still great for mild track use)
when it comes to brake parts dont skimp on inferior products.

Tak, those pads are not EBC Greenstuff but original spec Nissan pads from Japan. Don't know why they were painted green, as the other set I have are blue. But both sets are definitiely Jap-spec Nissan pads.Originally Posted by takai
I'll see how they feel first up and, if worse comes to worse, I'll invest in some new ones, as you and Linden suggest.

Nah, I couldn't bring myself to do that. I know it might upset a few ppl but I quite like the Nissan logo through the wheels.Originally Posted by twentyEight

i had planned on using these callipers in one iteration of a brake upgrade, (like most of them, it never got past a plan) but instead of shaving off the "NISSAN" logo... just shave off "NI" and "AN" leaving the "SS" . i reckon it would raise a few eyebrows,

hi peter,
do you think these would fit under the front of a classic celica? i think this maybe what in_05_nt is heading to next, currently as you know ive got the hilux rear diff (will deposit cash into your account for the ma70 bracket tomorrow) so i have a 5 stud pattern and would like the same on the front with some bigger brakes
+rep again this is a great writeup
thanks

ummm i think you meen 8mm, and the spacers should be 30mm wide also to stop the caliper flexing.Originally Posted by infotechplus

OK. I have some demo brackets for the Nissan front conversion.
These are a mm or so smaller than the specified dimensions but still usable.
I'll be test fitting these on the weekend.
I know one is much narrower than the others but these are only test units and spares.

Peter

I just thought I would let you know these are R33 GTSt calipers.Originally Posted by infotechplus

I believe there is no difference between R32 GTR and R33 GTS-T calipers...
R32 GTS-T calipers however, are almost the same looking...
Here is a bit of info for all you guys!
R32 GTSt
Suits 280x30mm disc, has ribs on casting, same as Z32 300ZX?
R32 GTR
Suits 296x32mm disc, has dip in casting above the 'SS', 2 half moon cut outs on outer edge, they don't have the raised bit under the 'Nissan', may have slight difference in mount offset compared to R33 GTSt due to different disc height.
R33 GTSt
Suits 296x30mm disc, smooth casting, straight above the 'SS', looks same as R34 GTt.
R34 GTt
Suits 310x30mm disc, smooth casting, same looking as R33 GTSt but longer mounts.
Hope this helps!
