4 Spot hilux on the back? What did he have on the front? 6pot porsche monoblocks?
That said, no can't find it either...
Hi everyone,
I need some help to track down a forum member from NZ.
I recall reading thru a thread on here relating to Hilux rear disc conversions. A member from NZ replied and said he was using RX7 4spot calipers and I'm pretty sure it was Silvia rotors. He had the CAD for the necessary caliper brackets.
I have tried searching for the last hour to no avail. If someone recalls the thread or knows the NZ forum member please let me know.
I have the parts for the conversion and would love the CAD for the caliper brackets.
Many thanks in advance
Jack

thats me i'm using s5 4 pots and rotors on custom brackets on rear with 6 pot wilwoods on v8 supercar rotors with custom hats etc up front
but i have been working on some brackets to suit s13 4 stud front rotors with fd rear cailpers i done a set for my mates s1 rx7 and they are working mint
i've got some being made for another project ke30 sr20 i'll try and post some pics once they are back from cnc
Linden from Roadrunner Fabrications used r33 gtst rear stuff on a F series diff and had some brackets made up which i think he has some spares of. His forum name is The Real Roadrunner so you could shoot him a pm asking him about them but i dont know if the bolt pattern for the caliper mount is different between G and F diffs.
Either way i remember when he designed the brakets it was pretty easy. They just had to be dog boned to clear the diff tube then they needed a recess taken out of them so they would sit at the right position (inward/outward of the diff) over the disc. Then he just sent them off to get cut to size and have 4 holes drilled and tapped.
This was all done after the disc was mounted then the caliper was positioned on the disc. Once you could see how it needed to sit all that needed to be done was the bracket drawn up.

awesome, thanks for the reply nztoygt.
after I saw your post about using rx7 4 spots and silvia front rotors for the hilux diff, I thought "what a great idea", especially cos I had a spare set of calipers already. silvia front rotors are piss easy to get too.
the ones you are getting made up for the KE30, is that to suit hilux diff? if so, can you PM me with the cost as I'd be keen to grab a set while they are getting made.
let me know mate
Thanks
JACK
Just out of interest ..... What are you using on the front ?
300+rwkw 4agte http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/for...wkw-4agte.html
Fronts I'm using RX7 4spots with 315mm x 30mm rotors and rear is AE86 calipers and rotors on the hilux diff.
