4AGE VRS kit

hey guys..
my car requires a head gasket replacement soon because it's leaking.. i want to know which VRS kit should i get it? i'm only aware of 2.. ACL monotorque or genuine toyota.. but i heard ACL is crap and the genuine toyota is a bit expensive.. also where is the cheapest place I can get it at?
I can get a genuine toyota VRS kit at trade pricing but I have a feeling it still might be expensive..
do i also need new head bolts? or can i use my old ones?
if i do then how much are they?
any help will be appreciated and repped

Don't know where you heard that one, but I believe you have been misinformed!

There should be other VRS kits for the 4A-GE by ACL also, MonoTorque is their base range..

They also have a Race Series VRS kit...

if you go with an ACL VRS kit make sure you use a genuine or cometic MLS headgasket, I know of 5 different 4ag's which have blown ACL monotorque headgaskets now.

I sell ACL gaskets all day and have no probelems with them but havent ever seen them used on 4ag's

The ACL MonoTorque head gaskets are nothing to a Toyota Genuine or Cometic head gasket... The ACL Race Series head gaskets are quite good too...

Sure you can get guenuine toyota VRS kits for your motor? I'm asumming thats your car in your avitar and your running a smallport?

The only ones I could get were for a bigport, and I think even they had to come from japan.

Contact Mr Revhead on these forums... he can supply genuine Toyota parts at good price.

I would just go genuine.

it is, but the ACL monotorque headgasket in their VRS kit is crap in comparison to a genuine or Cometic item.

genuine all the way.

ive blown out two ACL unit and will never go near them again.

the genuine isnt that expensive. oh and head bolts just get new ones not particulary expensive.
