why not use hardlines? cheaper, stronger, more reliable....
run two new 8mm lines from bundy and you have nothing to worry about![]()

well do u think that i need to change both or just the fuel in line and use the old fuel in line as a return line or would u reccomend changing both
Doing this will work fine, just make sure the old line is in good order.Originally Posted by NeDiC
you should try the ls1 setup, just run one line to the engine, with pump/pressure regulator/return all in the tank.
GA23(never finished-now with cracked block) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.
u can use just copper tubeing and bend it 2 place..
or u can use hose or braided line.. just make sure u clamp it properly.. cause i doubt a cop is gonna come up and check ur fuel lines n say thats illegal

Who to believe GU11TY or pubeof to the engineer I go. The bundy is copper coated steel is that correct? Any idea why the copper piping isn't worthy for the job?
hehe well my mate was told the other day by a mechanic to go buy sum copper lines to use as his fuel lines
i dunno even if it aint legal i doubt u wil ever get asked or pulled up about it

Yeah i'll be leaving it in but im just worried that there may be a corrosion issue?
copper work hardens easy so over time with vibrations, it can fracture. Bundy tube is copper coated steel tube. Sure steel tube work hardens but not as easy as copper. Id say bundy tube is copper coated to protect it from corrosion. You would also notice brake lines made from steel tube, not copper.

I spoke to a mate about this when i put the big port 4AGE in my KE70, I used a new 8mm feed line and my original 5ishmm feed line for a return to my surgeI think you'll find bundy is steel coated as copper is the slightest bit porous and if it's not coated the pissyest amount of fuel can escape in vapour form through the line potentially causing an unsafe environment in a shed over an extended period of time... bloody over thinking engineers. It might be something else i'm thinking of though LOL
