nah .. its got plenty of oil.. i check it all the time cause it does chew a little
but it fells exactly the same at all times except when its on full booost.. so i dont kno

i disconnected the battery, pluged it back in .. started it ... then retested and got the same code.. 31 ..

ive turned the boost down to stock and ill take it for a drive to see what its like when it stops raining..

no idea.. i was going to sell the motor in the jza70 halfcut, so essentially it will be a ga70 halfcut

haha yeah the 1g factory turbs burn the oil like no tomoz,

id pay for your 1g 1/4 of what you are probably asking, lol

for a complete front with complete loom, gbox, you may get $1000, for a short block/head you'd get $100,

    cheers anyway, blake

on cvap they wanted $2800 for a gen 3 halfcut with the w58, but i kinda figured they were overpriced, esp. seeings they were trying to sell a ga70 fmic for $280 lol

i was hoping for around $1500-2000, but ill just sell it for what its worth i guess, ill worry bout that when i actually get it out of the car.

took the car for a drive on stock boost and the same thing happened
    same error code too, 31
but my neo was showing me 58% air flow, 10% less than on upped boost, so i guess my afm is working ok.

is there anyway of turning this off ? , some sort of terminal jumping configuration ?
if i left the thing jumped at t1 and e1 wouldnt this cancel out all auto timing.. or would this be a really bad idea ??

    intersting suggestions so far.... :S

i once had a poor power supply to one of the ecu pins (+b i think). it ran in limp mode and felt slow as at 16psi boost. it would boost but go nowhere at all.

    all fixed now though.

code 31 is air flow meter. the ecu probably senses the problem and runs in limp mode to save the engine

take the battery terminal off for a minute to clear the codes.

it will probly go hard for the first second until the ecu picks up the problem.

    try borrowing a AFM

a 7M AFM is identical but be warned your engine will ping. the spring tension is much higher.

have a look in the forsale sections there is a million 1gs wrecking now

    correction, 7MGE.

7MGE is flap type, GTE is karmann vortex, therefore, incompatible with yours.
