I had a good time at the dyno day, good to see a variety of cars from the Toyota family on the rollers.

Thanks to Mitch and Phil E for organising a great Dyno Day once again.

I enjoyed the cruise after the dyno day too - it was nice to take the rolla for a drive out of town.

Here's another one. This is the last run and he didn't even push the car to it's full 6800rpm limit by the looks of things.

i don't think I'll be joining you guys next time if you decide to go to Pulfords again. I don't think my heart can take it.

I did say to him to please strap it down as securely as possible and then he asked my how hard does the turbo kick in, in which I responded to, mate it hits like a ton of bricks. As you can see from the first vid, he didn't listen to me.

Although they were a lot more careful after yours I noticed

When I said mine would need to be strapped down they did it properly the fist time. Nothing like a good scare to get rid of complacency

Hey Matt, hope you enjoyed our lil dynoday. At least it was decent weather for canberra winter! Sounds like you had a good drive from Syd and we certainly enjoyed see the almost 300 from the IS200.

Sure scared the crap outa all of us too Rosco. The last thing we want is a big loose from your brilliant machine. In all fareness Phil or I should have warned Pete of some of the more powerful cars so he could have chained it down from the start. We are hoping to get a 4W/2WD Dyno next time so will have a change of venue for the next one. Sure hope the nervous twitch has settled by now!!!

Only 22 cars this time but looked like everyone was being very social and that is by far our aim for these events. Hope to have the results out soon too.

Beer Oclock in 2 weeks in Belco so Ill email the details ASAP.
    Cheers

Mitch, next time (fingers crossed) ESP will have their new Dyno (4wd) in their shop. I've been told 3 weeks, but then again it's been the same story for the past 6 months......:-p

    Hi guys and girls.

A good event yet again. Thanks go to the organising group and to Mister Pulford for hosting us again.

My efforts to have two runs has netted some valuable info on Solex/Mikuni tuning and both my sheets should appear in the Dyno xT thread sometime tomorrow after the mod's check through both posts.

79.6rwkW with shocking flat spot and way too lean on the 40s

    And 85.1rwkW on the 44s.

Not far off our late 80's predictions when we first built this motor, of 140bhp at the flywheel and considering it is the first time, in this motors life, that it has been on a dyno.

I am stoked to say the least

    Regards

    Rodger

Roger, did you get the two runs overlaid on one page for comparison of the overall torque/power curve?

I have Phil. Simon did it for me.

    The 85kW run shows both.
