I believe the T3 kit comes with a split bushing to make install easier
Hi all, I'm in the process of rebuilding my 4a motor and whilst it's apart I thought I'd go over the usual bits that wear out or need attention. The shifter had a bit of a rattle at highway cruising speeds, the box shifts gears fine. So after some research I thought it could be the shifter bushes, after a quick examination they appear to be quite worn and could use replacing. The kits are cheap enough
I just have a couple of questions
How hard are the kit's to fit ie: removing the old bushes?
Which 3 bushes get replaced?
Are there any tips or tricks i should know before I start?
No, I'm not stupid I have a fair idea of which bush's get replaced, but how do you get them out?
The one in the shifter housing is held in with 2 locator's for the gear stick that are riveted in place do these come in the kits to.
The one on the bottom of the shifter looks straight forward, but the metal one above the shifter pivot ball? (see pics)
Dose this get replaced? if so how do you get it out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers Dan

Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
Thanks for that mate, but were dose the one in the bottom right hand corner of the pic in the link go?
Could this be my problem, missing a bush? it's only a light rattle so I don't think so, but there's no bush like that one on my shifter assembly.
Could that pic be for display and the kit for the T50 vary slightly? can any one shed some light?
Cheers Dan

One piece under the ball, the second piece is flat and is under the cupped piece... the small third piece is for the shifter endOriginally Posted by HRV-00S
