If you have an automatic it'll not change gears on the auto if that's what you're asking?

I have a manual but I am still running the auto ECU, just want to know if it will plug into the auto conector and run the car, also any problems with not receiving speed signal? as I have a mechanical driven speedo

I used a manual loom with an auto ECU and transmission, added the extra wires and it works.

Yeah there's nothing to be gained by switching to a manual ECU, the auto ECU works just fine with a manual transmission.

I was under the impression that the auto ecu ran a richer mixture, and by switching to the manual ecu get a tiny gain in power and improved economy, or maybe i'm just wrong

the auto ecu is a little different, it will lag a tiny bit on a gear change.

but from what ive seen, the difference is only noticable if your really hunting for it.

i wouldnt bother. check the pinouts of the auto ECU compared to manual.
