    Default 1ggte, gz20 issue.

Hey just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this issue im having

After getting my car back from getting the head recond i noticed the check engine light was on car seemed to run fine mechanic reckons the sensor might be an issue but i think hes full of **** ive noticed so far putting u foot down when reaching hi revs sounds like a bit of a flat spot/splutter also starting the car first thing in the morning wont idle takes quite a few cranks to get it going also randomly when idling the revs will drop really quickly then go back to normal and sometimes taking off will have a bit of a flatspot but not always.

if anyone has some ideas i can try would be muchly appreciated.

Find the diagnostic plug in the engine bay. Bridge E1 and T (sometimes labelled something different, but always with a T) and then turn the key to ignition, the check engine light should flash a sequence, with a pause in between each code.

When you have that, reset the ECU by pulling the EFI fuse for 30 seconds. Drive around and check again. Find the codes that are still there (some may have been from when he first got it running again) and then search for a 1G diagnostic codes on the forum.
