    Andrew,

The TA22, xA23 and RA28 doors will all interchange. The RA28 Glass is different to the coupes.

    Hi,

It should all be the same except the glass. The glass on the liftback is sloped more towards the rear of the top of the glass to mate up with the roof line of the liftback (when the window is fully raised).

Be aware that earlier doors (pre late 76-77) dont have side intrusion bars.

Actually, I think the SIBs came out in the '74 TA22s...

had a look at Leso's parts bomb on the weekend (01-77) and it DIDN'T have side impact bars...

scoobzd - no dramas with driving everywhere with doors that don't have side impact bars... unless the boys in blue find out

my point exactly... what they don't know won't hurt them...

on the flip side, say you are involved in an accident, and for what ever reason the side intrusion bars were in question, then your insurance would be null and void...

Hope your not planning a conversion in the near future that would require engineering...

I'd imagine that having no SIBs on a car that's meant to have them wouldn't be a good thing in an Engineers eyes...

well the doors on the 28 are too banged up for repairs although the glass and mechs are fine, so im just gonna wack on a spare pair of 75 ta22 doors ive got lying around until i can find some more 28 ones, that should do for the time being and aesthetics right?????

    Scoobz,

I wouldn't sweat the SIB. Sure they are safer but the TA22 doors are lighter and it would be almost impossible for them to proove if your 28 had the SIB from factory anyway.

In OZ even the 76 RA23's didn't all have the SIB, mind you I have never seen a 77 without them.

toyman - easiest way for them to tell if it was suppose to have SIB's is to look at the little plate on the firewall that lists the ADR's it's had to comply with...

but yeah, i'm planning on whacking some non SIB doors on my '28 for track work...
