I queried a company about tinting the sunroof in my car.
They said they don't tint sunroofs, because they tend to explode on a hot-hot day.
Every Toyota sunroof I know of, the glass itself is tinted.
On behalf of a friend who is having issues with the tint on her ZZT (not sure which one) celica..
Anyone got any ideas? I would think that if she is looking at possibly replacing it, perhaps we should try and clean it with acetone or something first? My sunroof has some sort of film on the outside which is cracking and peeling and looks bad. I took the car last week to have the windows retinted at solartint and they said whatever was on the sunroof wasn’t tint and they couldn’t remove it without damaging the glass. The guy suggested I take to the car to O’Brien’s or something and see if they would know how to get it off..
Was just wondering if you had any suggestions or knew what’s on it??

The glass is neither half empty nor half full, rather the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Dont use acetone if it is tint either as it will ruin it.
