    Mic,

Toyods Historic Rego has been approved by the RTA and we are finalising the paperwork and housekeeping side of things at our end at the moment. The guidlines and application forms should be available soon and the web site will be updated to reflect this soon as its finalised.

In the mean time if you wanted to act on getting your Corolla on Historic rego contact River to get things underway.

Yeah that looks a lot like what ours will look like, although we'll only be charging a $10 admin fee rather than the $50 they are charging.

It is up to the discrection of the club handing out the historic plates if the car is original enough Megz

You knew what my KE20 looked like, was all standard except for 3k/4k swap, seats changed and mag wheels fitted, which was all ok for historic rego as the basics of the car had not changed much from original. As long as there are no wild mods and the car shows some authenticity it 'should' be ok. Your KE26 wagon will be fine in my opinion, but it is the opinion of Toymods in the end

    Hi guys
Great thing you have done to allow members to get cheap rego.
I convertered my RA40 from normal rego to concessional rego recently.
As I am a member of a CAMS affiliated car club already, I just got a letter from the Presidnet stating I was a financial member and the basic details of the car, then went to QLD Transport and gave them all the paper work. Paid my $180ish dollars, they gave me new plates and I was away.
I can use the car for any club days and can drive to and from the event. I can also drive to and from a workshop for repairs but I can also drive within a 15Km radius of my house for testing purposes.
As long as you don't do anything silly, why would the police pull you over.............

    Greg/Clint,

Toymods is going through the process of getting the first car onto historic plates at the moment. Until 1am this morning we didn't have a test car ready for historic rego but my crown coupe is being pink slipped today and River is liasing with the RTA for the finer details of whats required. This has obviously been a bit of a learning curve for us so bear with us a couple more days and we should have all the answers.

Toymods first Historic rego'd vehicle should be on the road by the end of the week. Once we get this first car sorted and the procedure in order it should be an easy and painless process.
