Not personally but I think there was a guy running 15x7 +28 front and back on his AW which wasn't a problem and looked good, so a 6 inch rim in say a +20 offset shouldn't be a problem.

    ok thanks,
Offset crap always confuses the hell outta me
Just thought such a differance would foul somewhere
    6" wide +37 standard to 6" +20 seems like a big change

But if a 15x7 +28 fits then a 15x6 +20 will actually sit 4.7mm further inside the guard so it should fit.???

Even comparing to your 15x6.5 +30, a 15x6 +20 should only be sitting 3.65mm further out??

I may be wrong but thats how I see it. If the stock wheels are +37 then just imagine them sitting a further 17mm further out...does seem like a lot but I know from looking at my car there is a fair bit of clearance.

you still have to consider the tyre your putting on there... if your stil putting a 205/50/15 on there the rubber still has section width of 205mm. remember its not the rim that foul its the rubber... hopefully

Yep that is a good point which I didn't consider . But it could be made to work depending on tyre choice but even with 195's it would still possibly cause problems so disregard what I spoke about in my previous post

    Sorry, already covered that one

In F1 the regulations also govern the wheel and tyre dimensions... not some suspension theory...

F1 is clearly going away from its roots... it originated as an all out see who can build the fastest car thing... now its just trying to conform to regulations like every other motorsport...

also consider the cost of tyres - you will find good quality (ie not nankangs) 15" tyres are a lot cheaper than any decent 17" 205/40 tyre

my personal experience is i have 16" wheels on my car normally (205/40), but it steers easier, reacts better to my steering and is generally a lot better to drive around on 14" (195/60) or 15" (195/50) wheels (i have lots of wheels in my garage )

lower profile tyre does not = better handling
    better tyre = better handling

i would try to find a nice set of 15" wheels (like some 15 x 7 superlites, or Konig Rewinds, or something similar) and use those. 16" max.....

also personally not a fan of rollerskate cars
