make sure they use the correct hole size in the front wheel not a sleeve to make a larger wheel fit.
ive had balance problems before not allowing the turbo to spin hard enough to give the desired amount of airflow and pressue.
High flow what part of the turbo? If compressor wheel which I would expect then from what size to what size. what trim wheel do they use?

Any more on this matey ? This would be alot cheaper than me buying a GT3037 Kit from Japan.Originally Posted by bm1jz
I am keen also, am looking in to this at the moment.
I really dont want/need more then 250RWKW, but the thing that worries me about hi flow is the loss of response.
Hey Guys,
I didn't end up hi flowing the turbo as it it didn't really allow for future upgrades/modifications. I have now got a custom manifold made up and am running a GT3040r with external wastegate. All the stainless steel work has been done now, thanx to 1JZracing. Just a matter of a few more little adjustments here and there before i put her on the dyno.
The response issue shouldn't be as much of a problem as it is with other motors.
am looking into an upgrade soon also. what was the price comparison for the two. i spoke too gcg and they told me around 2k for the turbo rebuild etc etc.
call precision turbos in wetherill park and see what they can do for you. 2k is a bit steep in my opinion and you would be better off getting a b/b garret for those kinds of dollars.
better not cut up that dump pipe cause its too nice to destroy![]()

but is it worth the extra $$$, you could get a steelwheel and larger comp wheel put in for around 1200 and bolt everything back together or spend 2200turbo, 600gate, 600+mani then still have to do cooler pipe + intake + lines + dump.
how much do you want to spend and how much power do you want to make?

no that would be a base price that ive seen some go for. didn't you notice the +Originally Posted by whatthe?
you could get a slappy for that price but if its not designed well it could ruin all the other hard work.

It seems that HKS/greddy/blitz may sell them as part of their kit, but cost without?
Also how much difference is there between the 2jz and older 1jz manifold?
Thanks for any help
Tomei make a nice Stainless manifold for about $700 plus shipping. Check Yahoo japan auctions.
