A vehicle dynamics processer is a built in reading of your car into a dvd player. it scans your car and gives you dyno readings torque . Speedo tacho etc

ah, ok. i'd say it would be highly model specific. a mate has one in his GTiR type thing, but he programmed it all himself.

i doubt you could get one that would work with any DVD player.

The HKS Camp, is similar, outputs lots of sensor readings to a TV. Dong has one in his MZ21.

the camp i dont think measures g-force and quarter mile times (could be wrong) it's discontinued now anyways. BUT the VDP for pioneer is a seperate module that you buy for their dvd player. i can see why this module couldnt be customised to use any monitor, unless the signal is changes inside the pioneer dvd player. (if the module u buy just has video out signals in the little cable, then your laughing!)

I'm pretty sure the unit is adjusted via the touch screen on the pioneer dvd screens... I don't think you would be able to connect them to screens other than the couple of units Pioneer list.
If they did work with other screens then I would have thought that Pioneer would advertise it for their entire range rather than just one or two screens.

true true, my main guess for this was the fact that some companies have special connectors for there cables so you cant interchange stuff between brands. like my alpine dva-310 MMC has an optical output, but its different to the standard optical cables. so if i want to get a external processor i have to go alpine. bastards!

The pioneer units have acceleration (400m) facilties locked in the interest of road safety. SO unless someone has a crack it won't do that either.
    If in doubt power out

    i've got a crack....get a apexi RSM!!! haha.
i dont see why they couldn't just have a 'for off road use only' caution for the 0-400m, pretty pointless having it there if it;s locked.
