Default 1jz Hydraulic fan pump, wiring to aftermarket ECU

I've searched extensively on this...so dont flame me

Wiring my adaptronic in at the moment and want to retain the hyd fan as well as the 2 little thermos. I see the solenoid(?) on the hyd fan has 2 wires, would i just wire this up to a stepper motor output on my adaptronic and the opposite side to ground then set it to fully open at a certain temp, would this be adequate? I really don't understand the operation of this valve so if someone is able to share some knowledge on this i would be most appreciative. I don't mind if it just comes on with ignition either. One thing i would like to do is piss off the stupid cooling motor box as this just takes up room.

This is about the last thing that needs wiring on the car before i try starting the sucker, oh and the fact that next laptops don't have serial ports so i have to fkn buy an adaptor!

    Cheers,

When I had a Haltech on my MA61 1JZ I used a pwm output to turn the fan on and off at certain temps, you will need to do the same because if you turn it on at say 97 the ecu will need a signal to turn it off at say 92. You may need to rig up a system of some sort if the ecu can't do both on and off. Hope this helps.
