Short the two terminals in the diagnostics block and see if your getting any errors.
search google or toymods for the list of error codes and how to do it.
hey guys, ive just picked up an ae92 sx and its got a few issues.... whenever i drive around, mainly when taking of and in second gear, if i use more than the slightest bit of throttle, the car starts bucking and jerking around the place like a learner driver kangaroo hopping across the road. the revs drop, then climb, then drop, then climb really savagley and when the revs do drop, the engine check light on the dash briefly flashes. It is at its worst on cold mornings, or just after the car has started, and seems to be a little bit more lenient once it is warm. Now since the air intake pipe between the throttle body and airbox was cracked, i thought it might be sucking in more air than the sensors were reading and that would have been upseting the computer, but i have sealed up the cracks in the pipe and this has made no difference at all.
so, anybody got any ideas at all what could be doing this, i sat down and made a list of things that i thought might possibly be causing it but it ended uip a massive list so i thought id see if any of you could help me narrow that list down a bit.
the motor is going to be replaced in the not too distant future so im not going to spend huge amounts of money getting this fixed but i would like to be able to not have to drive with my right foot on eggshells untill i get the new motor.
any help would be great! cheers Glenn.
