get a workshop manual, best info you can get.
Can anybody link me up to a good downloadable book or PDF or website that has a thorough explanation into how to assemble a new engine in a rebuild. I want to learn how to do this stuff myself as opposed to just sending it to a shop. If I can do it myself I figure it can save me alot of money and time.
Many thanks.

What engine are you rebuilding? Best bet is to find the workshop manual for that specific engine, there are a few manuals that are on the net and are downloadable as PDF's etc.

For a start, some free good info.
Also head to the local library is another good option!

Ok turns out the service I got thanks to Lance shows me how to do mostly everything that I'll need to.
One question though, in the manual it says to thoroughly clean the slipper bearings, but doesnt say what with?
What can I use? Water?
