    Default 4age radiator issues

    hey all,
my 4agte has been getting a little hot of late so i decided to check it out. turns out the overflow bottle is overflowing and my radiator was down about 500mls of coolant. now im running an excel radiator and im fairly sure i have the right cap for it (got it from supercheap, so who knows) are there suggestions as to why this might be happening or is it most likely due to the rad cap?

    cheers,
    craig.

i know some toyota rad caps dont always hold the right pressure but not sure about excel.
most gte sprinters i do run an st165 rad with the factory thermos.
to make them look abit nicer i use the small fans on both sides as one of them is huge and looks fugly.
dont have overheating probs while drifting them with 210kw and there fine in traffic.

yea i think i might step it up to a st165 unit in the near future, it did get a bit hot at powercruise a couple of times.

i think it might be a cap issue, what sort of pressure cap should it be running for a 4agte?

If you want to upgrade your radiator, then look for a Nissan CA as I have been told that they have the same port locations and are a bigger and thicker core...

ive got a ca18 one, i tried it before i got the excel one, they arent the best fit. you have to angle the radiator back towards the motor reducing your clearance for fans, etc. my excel one is thicker than the ca one aswell?
