    Default TA22 Wheels

Hey guys i am now cursed with getting my wheels to look good without having to spend 2k
the stockies look arite but i really want to put it on mags, at the moment im thinking jelly beans or them oldschool 5 spokes or maybe oldshool meshes or similar does anyone know if you can still pickup oldschool rims anywere? i really dont want new rims on it as they always show off to much of my rear drums and also i really belive in keeping the car looking origionalish
i would probly be looking 15x6 fronts and 15x8 rears does that sounds arite or should i be going smaller or bigger i sorta dod some rough measurements and they "should" fit
    suggestions?

    also whats the stud patten on a 74 Ta22 its a 4stud 100PCD?

    Cheers
    Rohan

Stud pattern is 4x114.3 for all RWD Celica's.

No-one makes wheels in the correct offset and stud pattern to suit these cars any more; you either need to look for a second-hand set or fork out for a custom set (eg Simmons).

i'm fairly sure sure 8 inches is too wide for a ta22 from a legal sense. has someone got the link to that rta doc?

I have a new set of 16x7 ROH chicanes ive been trying to sell for ages. They are a 3 piece mesh style made to suit early model celica with 114.3x4 stud pattern. Never used only trial fitted on my RA23. cost me $2500, make an offer!!

    Hey all,
Offset for a TA22 is +27 (almost owen ). Some mag wheel companies are still acknowledging the fact that people like old school cars coz i know of a few different sorts of mags, that come from the mag factory in a +20 offset (will fit all old celicas and datto's) but with a blank stud pattern so you can call them up and tell them exactly what you need and then they just run it through the stud hole making machine (gotta love being technical) and you have your rim!!
I know of only a few mags off the top of my head that you can do this with and the are, speedy sirocco 2's, ROH monaco's, Performance Superlite's and Lotus but if you just call up a couple of mags companies im sure they will be able to help you out. Also i just got quoted $180 per rim for speedy sirocco 2's in 15 X 7's, so you can save yourself a lot of money insteed of having to pay 2K for a set from Simmons unless thats your type of rim of course.....

Performance can provide a whole bunch of different rims in a few different offsets, and drill them to whatever you like. Not necessarily the lightest or fanciest wheels in town though...

You're probably looking for something more than I can afford, around 1-2k, correct?

Jelly beans, drag ways, and i think the R31 stockers fit if you want a slight rally look to your car.

there are plenty that will fit, just have a go test fitting them mate.
