    Default Intake Manifold

Yet another thread sorry guys, I'm going mod-crazy lately and figure it's best to ask the people who know first...Going to make my own manifold for my GZE, which will have SC14 on by then. I think the standard one is very restrictive, but I have to deal with the lack of space in the engine bay. Actually making the manifold shouldn't be hard, but what size plenum and length of runners (Ideally) should I use? I googled, but I can't find a decent formula for working out this kind of thing. Nearest I've heard is 'about' 1.5 times the size of the engine for the plenum, and to use bellmouths...

    Cheers again guys, RM.

I'm looking at the same thing now. I'n not 100% sure on much but i think plenum 1.5x is good. I've heard same size and twice as big, but I've noticed alot of hi-performance using what seams to be about 1.5. If any one can confirm or denie that'd be awesome!

With runner length longer equals more bottom end, shorter more top end. app. there's a web site, i think its 'bill's'?, that has a formular on it but i dont have the url sorry. If some one else does that'd be awesome!

mullet, do a search for posts by ben wilson on the old toymods forums (i dont think he has any info on it on these new forums). he has made himself a custom inlet manifold for his 4agze.

people say the gze inlet is restrictive, has a wierd kink on #1, but some people have made impressive power outputs useing that manifold....

I guess it all depends on where you're going to mount the blower.

SC will be mounted in the standard position, it's for an AW11, so there isn't much choice. Looks like it's doable, just a lot of work

course it's doable, it's already been done.

you could always remove a/c compressor and alt from the exhaust side and mount the s/c over there.................

with a little fabrication i rekon it can be made to fit on the exhaust side. (bit harder i spose seeng the sc14 is spose to be a little bigger in size.
