Default lambo scissor doors on AW-II

There are many reasons I am considering putting lambo doors on my beloved AW-II one is that at the place I work there is little to no parking space and I’m scared of waking my door into a mates brand new M3 and I can not afford that. So I guess what I’m asking is that is there any cheap DIY kits that only require some welding experience. They have to be based in Australia to cut down on shipping cost. Any ideas? (+ they look pretty cool )

    Yes, heaps of ideas.
All of them involve the fact that scissor doors are crap.

    EDIT: P.s. In on one.

You can't afford to fix a ding in your mates M3, but you want scissor doors?

From what I am aware there are no 'cheap' kits. They normally cost a fair bit, even for the DIY ones.

Do you honestly want your car to look like this?

At the risk of earning negative rep, I reckon that car with a toned down front bar, no scissor doors and different rims actually has the potential to look fairly decent...so basically a stock AW11 with a nice paint job

Personally I'd prefer to see the money spent on other things.

not the right forum to be asking about this stuff, your best option is a minitrucking forum such as www.downundertruckin.com and/or www.subsided.com

they have been done before on there and will be able to point you in the direction of suppliers and wheather they are a diy job, from what ive seen on there, its not just a case of welding on mounts, everything has to be 100% spot on obviously..

    good luck

+ps just dont park next to your mates brand new m3.

i sure hope you meant to put the chassis code of the car wrong in the title of the thread.

    that would just be funny.
