    Default Ke20 Engine Options

As most of you probably read from my first post, I am considering a Ke20.

What are common options for engine transplanting? If possible, please include price ranges, how easy it is, and pros/cons about each.

I really like N/A 12a rotaries... how hard would it be to slap one of these in a Ke20? Im very open to all types of piston engines though

hey mate, ya wouldnt have done a search round here by any chance would ya? its a very common topic round this joint, but anyways..

rotaries have been done many times before. i havent done one myself, but i read that the firewall may need a bit of massaging around the tunnel area? wouldnt be any harder than any non factory piston conversion really. a ke20 would go like stink with a 12aPP too

then theres the 4AGZ/T/E conversions, they need the usual engine and gbox mounts moded, and depending on if you lean it over like factory or not, the brake master cylinder and clutch master can get in the way. not too hard to sort out if your capable of making mounts and things like that.

CA18DET is another common one, very good conversion as they are fairly strong, very light and similar diamensions to the 4A. similar mods to the 4a would be required to fit.

theres a few more like 3SGTEs, SR20DET's and things like that which are also possible, but i know even less about those conversions than what ive written above. ill save them for someone with more experience.

oh does it have to be engineerable/registerable? that may exclude the 2l turbo engines..

    lol.

yeah it depends on the above and how much cash or skills/tools you have.
not really a slap one of these into a ke20 type project especially if its going
    to be street registered.

do you have a ke20 that is in good condition for a transplant as good ones are
getting pricey and rare if you dont...

kinda need more details about it all
