Default SA63 diff questions and options?

hey guys i'm just wondering what are the limits of a SA63 diff? and are there any possible replacements to LSD as i'm doing a V8 conversion (253ci GMH engine with 4 speed manual) into my celica which is mildly worked expecting around 200 - 250hp.

What are my options as i think the current one is on the way out...put in another and weld it into a locked diff? what is there that could bolt in and take more power?

    Cheers guys.

SA63 has a 6.7" T series diff, ie weak as piss. The easiest upgrade is a 7.5" F series using RA65 parts, ie diff housing + cradle + driveshafts. This also gives you easy LSD options, eg MA61 (clutch type) or TrueTrac (torsen).

    Put a real motor in

In all seriousness, while I don't think the 253 is a particularly smart engine choice, I really must ask WHY the 4 speed? Use the W gearbox the car already has!

and watch it blow? i was given a engine with forged internals and custom cut gearset gearbox...Wxx boxes from what i've seen dont like any form of torque put through them, norbie answered the question...I didnt ask for your opinion on engine choice hell i'm not fond of holden in the slighest but i cant refuse free, cheaper then rebuilding the boat anchor 2S-C and will go alright in a light celica.

Thanks alot norbie for that, I think i know a wreckers that has a RA65 so i'll do some ringing around for something.

know your mind is made up..... so this is just a brainfart...

a 3SGTE would be very interesting.... so would a 5SFZE(no such mtr... but would be easy enough to do....) V8 swaps are common and are not very environmentally friendly.....
