I have replied asking info on AE101 coilovers. Hopefully Zero-2's will be an option.
get in contact with greenline or nengun in regards to getting CUSCOs... it will come out much cheaper then Maz-sport

Well, maz-sport want $3105.20 for Cusco Zero-2's for the AE101. Seems to be a little expensive... Are they really worth that?

What do people think of DMS coilovers? Apparently they do well in the rally (dirt and tarmac) scene. Thy make 50mm coilovers to suit the AE92.

I think Drummond only make the struts and not the springs?

Go for the 50mm if you do. They are really good.

Well, it seems we may be getting an account with japanparts.com so I may be able to source cheaper Cusco struts... (hopefully) Which will bring the Cusco Zero 2's down to a reasonable price.

So now it's basically down to Cusco Zero 2, Tein Flex and DMS 50mm (haven't researched this one much yet.)

I wasn't whistling Dixie above....... if you are paying much more than $1500(US) for a Cusco set up... send an email to [email protected] even though they are in USA, they sell to clients from all over the world. They'll ship the Cusco directly from Japan to you so no extra handling, or shipping costs. I bought a set of Tokico HTS's, they cost me $150 to ship EMS from Japan to the USA... so how much could they cost shipped to Aussie??????

    ok, TRD is not exspensive.
but they are unavailable for this model now
you could fit ae101 coilovers, but you also need ae101 rear hubs.
also TRD dont do adjustable tophats

track work... that rules out brands like DC, just not good enough
also tein are no longer made

drummond...... thats what id be looking at.
or konis and making my own coil overs.

    whats your budget?

    please, no more PMs!

My budget is around $2500 give or take. I want adjustable camber plates and pillow ball ends too. Oh, and I'm not interested in inserts and springs, not worth the hassle.

As mentioned previously, I am installing the complete AE102 rear disc end, and modifying the rear subframe to suit. This means I can use the Cusco and Tein coilovers to suit the AE101 without much trouble.
I have confirmed the availability of the three brands I posted a few posts above, I just need to narrow it down to one. I am leaning toward the Cusco Zero-2's, but the Tein EDFC is a nice option the Cuscos don't have.

Anyone got ANY experience with these?

wow ok maybe i can shed some light on this as alot of people on this forum know my car flynsx (ae92 sx seca) i was told they dont make a direct replace fit coil over kit. I had to get some custom ones make up Koni inserts were placed inside the Monrow shocks i had in the car. They had to machine and all welded all together i got height and damper control setup and then i got king springs with a spring rate of about 230. Total cost inc install was about $3800.

Yes they are worth it the handling is so much better then the standard setup.

Who told you there isn't a direct bolt in for the AE92?

    japanparts.com
    DMS

So for $3800 they converted your struts to coilovers? Is it like the Ground Control kits that give you a threaded tube that slips over the strut with the lock rings like a coilover, then you choose whatever spring rate and insert you want and weld/bolt it all together?
This is what I'm talking about: Ground Control

there isnt a direct bolt up kit for them yes the fronts you can buy as a pair but not the rears from what i was told. Somthing to do with the rear towers and where they are all bolted up to and yes looked at that link they look very simlar to that, have to take some pics for you and post them up. My mate got ones from japan the kit he said there fucked suspension is way to tight for the car he was busting heaps of tyres lots of tyre scrub he told me. I got 18's on my car at the moment and there is like 1 maybe 2 min clearence from the shock tower to the rim.

I'll only be running 15" x 6.5" rims, so scrubbing shouldn't be too much of an issue, hopefully. Something like the forged Racing Hart CP-FTuneR in gunmetal. At only 4.76kg, it should have a nicely positive effect on my unsprung mass.
