    Default 2nd hand haltechs

Im considering buying a second hand haltech e6h from these people that i know, but i have a few queries...

The engine it is coming off is the f4i from a cbr600. This wont matter as the ecu is universal right? once its wired in, just reset the ecu and get the dyno people to lay down a base tune? (im planning to run it on my 4age)

are the air and coolant temp sensors essential? ill use the standard TPS, but replace the o2 sensor as mine cracks the shits occasionally.

the things i think ill need are:
    flying lead loom
    fuse kit
    map sensor
    ignition module for distributor
    oxygen sensor

do i need anything else? does the flying lead come with lines for power? or is there a seperate connection for power?

only info i could find on that style ecu
ring up haltech and see if it is a pre-configured ECU, microtechs used to be, dunno if they still are, and to get them re-configured to suit a different engine required them to be sent away and what not, dunno if haltech is the same, if not it's just a matter of setting it up to suit the new engine (cyls, injector firing mode, trigger signal type, trigger pattern, your inputs... all that sh*t)
i could be on the wrong track tho
won't hurt to send them an email, usually pretty helpful
insert witty post here, to allow people to see how funny and intelligent i am, and how much they would like to be like me.

they're not pre-cofigured like the microlebs - but you might be able to get a base map for your particular engine (for a stock setup) from haltech or the intahnet

Air and coolant temp sensors are highly recommended - but the Haltechs use the common sensors that are available for stuff all at any parts store, or if you're really, really tight you can pinch them from a Commodore.

My Haltech E6X came with Delco sensors, so yeah same as Holden stuff - which is cheap or even free from the wreckers.

heres what i got back from haltech.

    Hello,

Will the ecu have to be sent back to haltech to get remapped for the
4age? Or can it simply be reset via a laptop, and the engine parameters
    changed in the tuning software?
You will be able to change the setup using your laptop. The ECU does not
need to come back to Haltech.

Also, what connections will i have to buy from a haltech reseller to get

this running on my car? the things i think i need are:
    flying lead loom
    fuse kit
    map sensor
    ignition module for distributor
    oxygen sensor
This is correct. You may also want an optional Air temp sensor for Air
    temp correction.

are the coolant and air temp sensors crucial? the E6H spec sheet says
theyre optional, what downsides are there of running without them?
You should use them for temperature compensations.

Does the flying lead loom come with power connections? or are they a
    separate item to buy?
The Flying lead comes with power wires to be connected to 12v.

finally, can it use the standard Toyota TPS? or will i need to buy a
    haltech item.
The Standard TPS will work with the E6H.

If there is anything else we can do please let me know,

    Kind Regards,
