2003 Avalon Grande Sat Nav shorting out

Hey all,

My grandmother owns a 2003 Avalon Grande and the sat nav keeps shorting out blowing the fuse, it didnt happen when the car first came to darwin from adelaide.

I first thought a connection in the boot must be loose or touching but ive checked and nothing.

Any ideas on what I can do? ie put a bigger fuse in?

dont put in a bigger fuse it will cause more problems
it is probably a short in the wiring somewhere
maybe trying to power up the unit with a separate fused power source and see if it still blows
