seems like the 162 shocks will fit the 165 just fine according to -=DV=-
Anyone feel free to confirm, or post your experiance with this etc
Cheers

Hey Guys,
Looking at replacing the shockers in my ST165 GT4. When I had my old ST162, I had KYB shocks on all 4 corners with superlow king springs and the car handled like a dream, im after something of the same effect here because the shocks in the GT4 are getting a bit soft with their age I suspect.
Trouble is im having some difficulties finding parts for the 165, just about every place that has asked me "Are you sure you dont mean ST162???"
FFS IM SURE!
So now the question is.... will ST162 shocks, fit in the ST165, if I just order the same part numbers as last time, when I did my ST162???
By fit, I mean direct bolt on to the 165, no dodgry drilling of holes and fitting washers etc to space things out.
Cheers in advance!

The front will fit from an st162, the rears will be different since different mounting positions on the hub are needed to accommodate the driveshafts.
The rears from a st185 will fit straight in, and the fronts will fit by drilling out the strut to hub mounting holes to be a bigger size - check this out for the howto http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=11881
Just make sure if you choose to get front shocks for a st162, and rears from an st185 that they are going to have the same ratings
