MWP posted this very helpfull hit to me
    thats heaps dude

    A quick RT104 tip:

Replace the diff leaf spring centering bolts!
Its a small bolt that goes through the center of the diff mount and through holes in the leaf springs.

Over time they wear out, and can shear if the rear wheels get a whack (like hitting a curb, etc).

I had both of mine go, around 4 months apart.
Makes for a slow and noisy drive home with one wheel rubbing on the inside of the guard.

Another tip is to use 1st gen Celica wheels and big tyres.
They (well at least the wheels i pulled off a RA28) have a larger offset and widen the track of the car quite a bit (im just inside the front guards).

Along with the 195's they made a huggge difference to the cornering ability of the car.
Be prepared to grow some arm muscles though... parking isnt easy esp when combined with a small steering wheel.

Trade it in on a decent car

The '104 is a great, cheap runabout that will pretty much never die. I've seen some of the stuff that MWP has done with his and it was still going. I was also quite suprised at how well it kept up with much more impressive cars.

either get the rear end springs done or get tramp rods, cause the diffs are shithouse

put an auto center console into your manual, that way u can have a CD player in there

new rear spring bushes are good, $50, cant go wrong

there is 3 differet types of handbrake cable too, so when u do a diff, make sure u r puttin the right cable in too.

Do you happen to have some images of your tramp rods/bars?
or measurements, etc of how they are made. Ive been meaning to do a set for mine but have no real clue on how the are made. I have searched and found nothing relevant.

Do the diff swaybars off a KE55 fit the RT104's?

    i got a whiteline sway bar on the fornt of mine, it really helped with the cornering, but didnt affect the front end lift at all {thats the way i want it}
