    Default diff reassembly

hi all im reassembling my ms112 diff and and i cant quite remember how it went together (its been a while).

question one, do the calipers go on the front or the back of the diff?

question two. is the seal i have pictured the right one for the axles, i dont remember pulling one out like that? but it fits into the axle nicely and seems to have a seat in the diff?

    cheers,
    craig.

    if the seal fits....
    tis likely the right one.
just a question, whats been done to the diff?
id get a diff shop to check the preload. ive had to buy a new centre due to not having the pinion preload set correctly.
    cheers, andrew

the axles will only bolt in one way (look at the bolt spacing)...so that will solve the caliper mounting...

most rear calipers sit at the REAR of the diff...... have a look at the clipers to, see if you can see how they are supposed to sit.

gluck...i hate doing jobs months apart....so hard to remember whats what.

    .

yea but im not sure which axle came from which side. so i can make the mount sit at the front or the back depending on which axle i put in which side.

the diff has had sprinter mounts welded onto it, fitted with new wheel bearings, disks machined and converted to 4 stud. the center will be coming out again to have a tru-track fitted when my wallet can afford it.

im thinking they sit on the front of the diff, from memory, just wanted some confirmation

    cheers,
    craig.

bolt pattern at end of the axle tube (1st pic) suggests caliper mounts one way only.

i'd guess they'd be on the 'forward' side
