Well its actually the old motor that is still in there at the moment, we haven't finished building the beams yet!. The track was crap with a formula ford dropping about 10L of oil on the entire track just before race 1 on Saturday.
We changed fuels away from avgas and re-dynoed it before the last round at Wakefield and found a pretty significant gain across the rev range that helped, but it is mainly the handling that is starting to work.
I was a little disappointed to not hold 3rd position for the entire race 3 but I made a couple of mistakes that allowed Ryan Brown to stick to the back of me and eventually get passed. Mind you we ran side by side for at least an entire lap and never touched once. Going sideways through turn 3/4/5 at WP with another car less than 100mm from your door is interesting![]()

Yeah Geoffs car was on fire all right....heres some pics http://www.therapymasters.com.au/rac...v/2007_Rd5_WP/. There are also a couple of videos of Race2 and Race3 with some good side by side action between myself and Ryan Brown in Race 3.Originally Posted by The Real Roadrunner
I actually received my clutch and flywheel from Adelaide Clutch Services the other day.The chrome moly flywheel out of a solid billet for everything including the ringgear is a work of art and only about 150grams heavier than my current aluminium flywheel on the old motor.
I'd like to see what you're using if you don't mind, it might give me some ideas.
Cheers,
Dave
She actually runs under its own now, hopefully my car (ke25) and craigs (ke20) will be hitting the track this weekend. The car is finished minus paint on the outside.Want to give the car a run on the track to iron out any bugs( there will be plenty) before it goes to paint. Hopefully the November stae round the car will hit the track, cant wait.Originally Posted by dave368
