i used a 1" 1/2 brass water fitting , 2 6mmx 20mm metric bolts and a piece of scrap metal, all bronzed together(only way of fixing brass to steel)

Im swapping the accellerator cable and pedal from a 1995 corolla ascent into my 1977 ra23, so i thought i would take some photographs and save anyone else who's doing something similair some time.
the corolla cable reaches into the middle of the engine bay, and is perfect if your running a 1g. especially a 1g with gas research though the throttle cable end will fit into both without any dramas.
ok here we go.

the most important thing is make sure youve got enough internal clearance with the brass gland to get the fitting over the nuts which locate the other end of the throttle cable.
ill take some more photos of me fitting it in tonight.
