Theres that much talk of this conversion all over this forum at the moment.... USE THE SEARCH BUTTON
ok have an RA23 with a hilux rear end with crappy but bigger than the original drum brakes. I should have chose a diff with disc's but its too late for that now. I managed to steal the model plate off the lux when I stripped the diff out, it was a 1980 RN40, trans axle code is L42 G142. Has anyone else used one of these or similar to this one and changed it to disc's
Any help or information would be appreciated

Absolutely Robbo. In fact the engineer complimented the feel and stopping power of the brake setup. He said it brought a smile to his face.Originally Posted by Robbos_Toyotas

I'm looking at fitting R31 rear calipers and some 5 stud rotors to my lux diff. SO much easier/cheaper to source R31 calipers than the Toyo ones.

No, I only played around with the handbrake, which is still a bit slack.Originally Posted by Robbos_Toyotas
I know the adjustment is that small bolt head. Inside there are a couple of small balls and springs apparently that control the bias. I'm leaving mine where it is at the moment - if the engineer is happy, I'm happy.
