    Default Corona Rear Drum Brakes

Hey guys, i got a 92 model imported Toyota Corona ST190

It has the stock rear drums on the back, and they're on the limit and need replacing. The problem is I can't find a part that matches it. Took it to the RAC service centre here in Perth, who referred it to a brake specialist who couldn't match the part.

So now i've got a problem, what can I do? Is it hard to do a conversion to disc brakes? I've been wanting to convert to discs previously, as I have no idea how to do anything on drums. How much would that cost? Or Any idea's on where I could source some rears drums?

    Cheers

Your going to have to help us out here, no one knows anything about ST190's.

Maybe post some pics and someone might identify it as having the same suspension as a local car, might be very similar to a ST185 (90's celica).

Edit: google shows they are some weird mix, like a AE102 corolla.

Tried one of the import specialist Toyota dealers, like Castle Hill Toyota? It might cost a bit, but at least they will be the correct parts, hopefully.

I'm in WA, don't know of any import specalist toyota dealers?

I couldn't get a pic as it got too dark too quick, i'll try get one tomorrow

I'm mainly considering a rear disc upgrade though, how much would I expect to pay? Is it fairly easy or hard?

Try adapting ST165 or ST185 rear discs.

How do I go about 'checking' without having to buy them?

How much would a rear disc brake upgrade cost? Might work out cheaper in the long run.

if you can have the corona off the road for a while, take the rear brakes off, take them to a wrecking and try and a make them fit a celica, if they do, buy the celica gear cause it should fit urs.
